A day in the life of…our Bookings Manager, Dannielle King
Date 9 June 2026
Our Bookings Manager, Dannielle King, is the latest team member to feature in our ‘day in the life’ series.
Dannielle has been part of our Care Connection Partners family since May 2022 and is responsible for all bookings that come into the business from across the UK.
It’s a huge job – and there is no room for error!
Let’s find out more from Dannielle…
“I liaise with clients and staff, book shifts, and organise where everyone is going, so it’s a very busy job as I ensure everything runs smoothly.
It’s so important to get it right 100 per cent of the time. It’s a 24/7 job for us and our carers, as we provide an average of 3,000 hours of care across the country every week.
I work hand-in-hand with Savannah Stock, our Bookings Officer, and we know which carers are best placed with our partners.
You couldn’t just come in and do the job straight away because we get to know every carer who works for us and every partner, ensuring they fit seamlessly into each individual care setting and meet the high standards required.
Our carers are an extension of our partners’ teams.
Care homes contact us and book carers on a weekly basis but this can be daily, depending on what challenges they have to respond to in their own teams.
I sometimes receive calls during the night and our carers have to be flexible to support our partners. They’re representing us and we choose who goes where.
We speak to care home managers daily and if there are ever any issues they call us straight away.
We always have open and honest conversations, and address any challenges or hurdles quickly and effectively.
Equally, when compliments are received, I make sure positive feedback is passed on to the relevant carers. It’s important they know they’re doing a brilliant job and they are appreciated.
We work a week ahead for shift bookings and it’s satisfying to know when it’s all planned in.
We input everything manually, everything has to be spelt correctly and we have to ensure there are no double bookings – there isn’t any room for mistakes.
The most rewarding part of my role is the relationships I build with our staff. We have a great rapport and they know me personally and professionally too.
They care about my family as much as we care about them and theirs, as we spread our #feelthelove message.
We’re one big family. When people feel appreciated they’re more likely to stay committed and dedicated to their roles and the business.
No two days are the same in my job.
I also arrange transport to make sure everyone can get to their shifts on time, tell our partners who is coming, and respond to any daily challenges which arise.
The bookings team is the main point of communication within Care Connection Partners.
We answer the phones, so we’re the hub, and we then communicate with whoever needs to know within the wider office team.
I’m so proud to work for Care Connection Partners. It’s a big job and we all work really hard.
When I started, we were a team of four, and it has been brilliant to see the business go from strength-to-strength.
The office has grown, the hours have grown and the number of partners we work with has grown.
I’m really looking forward to seeing this continue in the future and playing my part in it.”
