Carer profile – with Adewale Idowu

Date 3 September 2025

Our carers are at the heart of everything we do at Care Connection Partners. In this profile, we introduce Adewale Idowu, one of our dedicated agency staff.

Adewale Idowu.

Describe the specific training you’ve had from Care Connection Partners and what it has involved.

I received training in manual handling, which has greatly improved my understanding of how to safely lift, move and reposition individuals. This not only helps prevent injuries to service users but also protects staff from unnecessary strain.

The training built on my previous knowledge but also offered fresh insights, thanks to a different trainer and a more practical teaching style.

In addition to manual handling, I also gained broader knowledge of the care sector, including the importance of safety, compliance and maintaining dignity and respect in all situations.

These sessions helped me connect theory to practice, ensuring I could apply the skills confidently in real-world settings.

How would you describe the level and quality of training you’ve received from Care Connection Partners?

The training was very thorough, combining theory with practical exercises.

It wasn’t just about learning policies and procedures – it was about applying them in ways that improve professionalism and the quality of care.

The practical demonstrations, in particular, made a big difference in helping me understand how to respond effectively in different care situations.

In your experience, how does it compare in the sector?

Based on my previous experiences, I would regard Care Connection Partners’ training as the best I’ve received.

It goes beyond simply meeting mandatory requirements. The focus is on compliance, safety and developing the confidence to handle real-life challenges in care.

That emphasis makes it stand out in the sector and equips carers to provide safer, more effective support.

How capable and confident do you feel working in the sector with Care Connection Partners?

I feel very capable and confident in my role after completing the training.

I now have the knowledge and practical skills to work safely, professionally and with greater assurance in any care environment.

I feel ready to deliver high-quality care and to adapt to the different needs of the individuals I support.
