Helping Ellie make a difference to Ugandan children

Care Connection Partners is helping a young woman bring some happiness to children in an impoverished region of South West Uganda.
Ellie Jones is travelling to Rukungiri for 12 days in December with Global Care to help run a kids’ club for more than 500 children.
Life is incredibly difficult for children in Rukungiri, with limited access to education, proper nutrition or time for a carefree childhood.
The kids’ club, run by volunteers like Ellie and local staff, will bring some joy and hope to their lives.
Ellie, 21, is the daughter of our Recruitment and Compliance Manager Heather Jones. Heather is the sister of our Founder and Managing Director Deborah Stock.

We’ve donated £500 towards the £1,300 Ellie is raising to make the trip possible.
Ellie, a Finance Analyst with Jaguar Land Rover, said: “It’s going to be a life-changing experience.
“The days will be packed with activities that will allow these children to be kids – something many of them rarely get to experience. Their free time is often spent doing household chores, caring for siblings or animals.
“The children’s club will give them the chance to laugh, play and make friends.
“Through this project we’ll offer them not only the joy of childhood, but also access to education, nutrition and the warmth of knowing they’re seen, heard and valued.
“It’s a powerful way of showing them that they matter.”

On the support from Care Connection Partners, Ellie said: “It’s absolutely brilliant, and a big, big help.
“It’s a real family business, and it’s great to know they’re supporting me with this.”
Heather said: “I’m so proud of Ellie.
“She loves a challenge, and when she heard about this opportunity she said ‘this is amazing, I want to help’. She wants to make a difference.
“The support she’s getting from Deborah and Care Connection Partners is nothing less than I’d have expected, because that’s exactly the type of person and company they are.
“It’s all about feeling the love.”
