‘I feel valued and I #feelthelove’ – Staff hail second drop-in surgery a major success
Date 12 February 2026
Our second staff drop-in surgery was another resounding success!
We welcomed dozens of our carers to our Hull headquarters for a day of open and honest conversations, fun and games, and a delicious lunch.
We pride ourselves on listening to our staff and partners, using their feedback to continuously develop how we work and, in turn, improving how healthcare recruitment agencies are perceived within the industry.
We had a brilliant day with everyone who attended the drop-in surgery, transforming our head office into a space to learn and grow while sharing our #feelthelove ethos.

Potential new staff were able to find out more about the recruitment process and we played spin the wheel.
We also ran a bingo card, which encouraged staff to meet the team, vote for us in the Yorkshire People’s Choice Family Business of the Year Awards, and follow us on social media, with Care Connection Partners merchandise up for grabs in both games.
Staff were encouraged to offer feedback on their roles and working with us, our dedicated training room was open to view, and we had a colouring station in place for children.
We even had a saxophonist play some #feelthelove tunes! Thank you to carer Orishile Bidemi Olaoluwa for an amazing performance – and he only completed his induction the previous day!

Deborah Stock, our Founder and Managing Director, said: “It’s absolutely amazing to give something back to the staff who continuously give everything to be ambassadors of #feelthelove.
“They go above and beyond every day and we can’t thank them enough for their incredible hard work and dedication.
“The drop-in surgeries are an opportunity to show them that love face-to-face, talk, answer questions and, most importantly, listen.
“We had some amazing conversations that will help to shape to future of our business and how we work. It was fantastic to see everyone and long may it continue.”

The event built on the success of our first drop-in surgery in September last year and we’ll continue to plan more events in the future.
The event lunch of chicken pepper stew and jollof rice was prepared by James MacLeod-Birch, our Business Development Manager, and delicious cake was made by Marion Hyde, Field Supervisor at our sister company My Caring.
Carer Charles Okechi said: “I love working for Care Connection Partners because they have a unique way of interacting with staff and I feel valued.
“Events like this are good and it means we can all meet each other, see the head office, ask questions and have some fun. I received a marvellous welcome.”
Fellow carer Iyke Okpara said: “The drop-in surgery was a chance to reconnect, explore and unwind. It’s s great idea and good to see everyone.”
We were also joined by our friends from Connexin Academy, Evans & Co Certified Chartered Accountants, Humba Mortgages and Humba Financial Advisers, who offered free advice to our staff.
Some visitors also brought their friends or children along to the drop-in surgery.

Carer Kanyin Oluwadamilare said: “I like working for Care Connection Partners because they’re approachable and I definitely #feelthelove. They truly care about us and our families, and they’re very understanding.”
Tony Okoye has been one of our carers for two years and had completed a night shift before attending the drop-in surgery.
He said: “I couldn’t make it to the last drop-in surgery, so I didn’t want to miss this one and I wanted to #feelthelove.
“The shifts are very organised and it’s a great company to work for. This is 100 per cent my team. I’ve had a great time.”
