Date 11 November 2024

Welcome to the latest of our regular Meet the Team Q&As, helping you to find out more about the fabulous people behind Care Connection Partners.

Beth MacLeod-Birch is our General Manager. We had a chat with Beth to learn more about her varied role and why she loves being part of our team.

Tell us about your role and what it involves

I joined Care Connection Partners in November 2021 having previously worked in hospitality for 15 years and care for three years.

I’m responsible for payroll and invoicing, staff relationship management, some HR, maintenance of office diaries, baking for our lovely clients – and whatever else is on the agenda each week!

What’s the best thing about your job and why?

No two days are ever the same and I love working with a great bunch of people. It’s varied and enjoyable, and we don’t sweat the small stuff.

Everyone gets on brilliantly, and we get the job done well and as efficiently as we can.

Why do you love being part of the Care Connection Partners team?

Some of us are actual family but we work like one big family and support each other like a family. If we’re celebrating or need support, we’re there for each other.

Our founder and Managing Director Deborah Stock makes us feel we’re all equally important and valuable to the company. You don’t come to work feeling like a cog in a machine. Everyone has an important role and brings something to the table.

What does #feelthelove mean to you?

It means trying as hard as you can to get things right every time, and having integrity.

We draw on Deborah’s leadership. She cares so deeply, not just about the company but the service we provide. It makes you want to do the absolute best job you can.

Tell us something about yourself which people may not know.

I’m originally from the Outer Hebrides. I also spent a month working in Ghana, West Africa, in schools, orphanages and some healthcare settings in 2010 as part of a volunteer programme.

I spent Valentine’s Day walking with wild elephants!
