Meet the Team with Heather Jones

We’re continuing with our regular Meet the Team Q&As, to introduce you to some of the special people here at Care Connection Partners.
In the latest of our chats, we sat down with Recruitment and Compliance Manager Heather Jones.

Heather Jones.
Tell us about your role and what it involves.
I’m the first point of contact for agency staff, who will phone me up and ask me for a job. I ask them numerous questions, and make sure they have all the mandatory care certificates and an enhanced DBS.
They send me all of their details, and I put it all together and make a profile. I then send that on to the bookings team, who will find the most appropriate placement for them.
What’s the best thing about your job and why?
Care Connection Partners is my sister’s business, and my dad works here too, so I love being able to make a difference to it. I also love to make a difference to the people we care for.
My mum is disabled after having a stroke, and when you see that first-hand you want the best carers to go out to work. We send out the best carers and, as long as I’m helping get the best people, then I’m happy.
Why do you love being part of the Care Connection Partners team?
I obviously have members of my actual family here, but the whole team is like one big family really.
They’ve also all fully embraced #feelthelove, which is absolutely fabulous.
What does #feelthelove mean to you?
For me, this is how my family has always worked – keeping everyone close together.
When anyone first speaks to me, I want them to know I’m gentle and kind, and that I want the best for them. It’s about kindness and that personal touch – I sometimes just have to be careful not to chat too much!
Tell us something about yourself which people may not know
I do enjoy my karaoke, belting out a bit of ‘Mustang Sally’ and ‘Proud Mary’.
My daughter says I’m a karaoke queen – but I’m not so sure!
