Our regular Meet the Team Q&As introduce you to the wonderful people in our Care Connection Partners family.
Lauren Crooks has joined us as Bookings Officer, helping to support our Bookings Manager, Dannielle King.
We’re delighted to have you on board, Lauren!
Tell us about your role and what it involves
I’m in charge of filling shifts and helping to maintain relationships with staff and partners.
It’s a busy role and you need to be five steps ahead to ensure we don’t miss anything.
Communication is the biggest part of my job, while making sure everyone is where they need to be at the right time.
What’s the best thing about your job and why?
It’s definitely the friendships and relationships you build with the staff. You know about their families and events in their lives, such as graduation and marriage, and it’s really nice to know more about them.
It’s a lovely job. We’re all one big family, from everyone in the office to our carers and the staff in the care settings we support – it’s a great place to work.
Why do you love being part of the Care Connection Partners team?
The job is really fulfilling but the people make it. If I need help, I know any one of the team would be there straight away. I love being part of such a close-knit team.
I met Care Connection Partners founder and Managing Director Deborah Stock when I was 15.
I’m 27 now, and I knew I wanted to work for her back then. Dannielle and I have been friends for 16 years, and I always knew I wanted to be here one day.
Deborah leads a great team and I’m proud to work here.
What does #feelthelove mean to you?
It’s caring for each other, being there for one another and supporting each other through everything. The love you give out, you receive back – everyone feels it.
That applies to everyone, from home to the team at work, our staff and our partners.
Tell us something about yourself which people may not know.
My fiancée, Matthew, and I have two boys, Arlo, seven, and Cole, four.
They’re my everything and my world outside of work. Dannielle’s children are my godchildren and she is godmother to my boys too, which is lovely.
