New dedicated training space enhances care offering

Date 15 August 2025

We’ve transformed part of our head office into a dedicated training room to further equip our carers with essential hands-on experience.

The change means the majority of the first floor at our Hull head office includes an adjustable bed, hoist, commode and spacious learning area which can be altered to accommodate any type of training required.

Carers who attend Care Connection Partners for their induction or further training courses can learn how to correctly use the equipment and be observed doing so before being placed in a care setting to meet our partners’ requirements.

Teaching also includes everything from ligature to respiratory training and numerous carers attend every week to ensure they are trained to the highest standards.

Carers will benefit from the new training room.

The dedicated training room is also used to train staff from our sister company, My Caring, which is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and both companies follow the strict guidelines set by the independent regulator.

Deborah Stock, our Founder and Managing Director, said: “We’ve made the space look like a bedsit for those who are working in someone’s home or in a room within a care home.

“We’re able to see how they put their training into practice before they go into the care setting.

“While our training has always been of a very high standard, this is the first time we’ve been able to create a dedicated larger space to offer additional training of this level.

“It’s much smoother and there’s much more space to ensure our trainers can offer the very best practical and theoretical training in one place.”

We pride ourselves on being able to place our carers in the correct setting and train them to the highest standard to suit the home they work in.

We aim to ensure they always fit seamlessly into any team to enhance their workforce rather than hinder, working hand-in-hand with partners from the very beginning.

Deborah said: “The feedback from carers since we created the training room has been fantastic and it’s an easier space for the trainers to deliver in too.

“Everyone who comes to work for us has an initial induction with a member of the Senior Management Team. We explain exactly what we’re looking for from them and what they can expect from us.

“From day one, it’s about getting our #feelthelove ethos across and how we intend to all work together to get things right.

“The training room is a fantastic addition to our growing business.”
