Second staff drop-in surgery set to build on successful launch event
Date 15 January 2026
Planning is well underway for our next staff drop-in surgery and we can’t wait to welcome everyone for another positive and proactive day.
The first event in September last year was a fantastic success, with about 100 current staff visiting our team at our Hull headquarters throughout the day.
The next drop-in surgery on February 4 will follow a similar format, with a chance for staff to meet our team, tour our headquarters and dedicated training suite, ask questions, make suggestions and share their thoughts openly in a safe space.
Our Business Manager, James MacLeod-Birch, who is also an experienced chef, is preparing a delicious West African menu for the day, alongside some tasty sweet treats made by our General Manager, Beth MacLeod-Birch.

Some of our staff #feelthelove at our first drop-in surgery
Deborah Stock, our Founder and Managing Director, said: “Our first staff drop-in surgery was such a huge success and it proved to be incredibly valuable in sharing feedback, thoughts and feelings but, most importantly, it was about listening.
“These surgeries are part of our ongoing work to encourage honest and open conversations about healthcare recruitment, make improvements and change perceptions within the sector.
“It’s sure to be another brilliant day where we can also thank our staff for the work they do and continue to share our #feelthelove ethos with them.”
Our partners from Evans & Co Certified Chartered Accountants, Humba Mortgages, Humba Financial Advisers and Connexin Academy will also be on hand to offer advice on mortgages, insurance, pensions, financial planning, investments, careers and progression, apprenticeships and more.
The first staff drop-in surgery was followed by a similar event for our current partners and plans are also underway for a new partner drop-in surgery in the not too distant future.

Deborah added: “It will be a great opportunity to celebrate and share in our staff culture and also collect more valuable feedback to understand how we can support them further in their roles.
“We’ve got plenty of music and games to win some Care Connection Partners merchandise lined up too. Our staff do a fantastic job and we’re grateful for everything they do.”
- The next surgery for our current partners will take place at our head office – 13 Hessle Road, Hull, HU3 2AA, from 10am to 3pm, on Wednesday, February 4.
