Spotlight On – The Bookings Team
Date 21 November 2024
We’re shining a light on the fantastic teams that make up our business, explaining who they are, what they do, and their importance to Care Connection Partners and our clients.
This month, we’re talking to Dannielle King and Savannah Stock, who make up our Bookings Team.

Who’s in the team, what do they do and how do they see their role within the business?
Dannielle is our Bookings Team Manager, whilst Savannah is Bookings Consultant.
Dannielle said: “We’re in charge of all the bookings and shifts that come in. We’re there to look after our clients, look after our staff, and allocate the right staff to the right client.
“It’s all about matching the person, personality, skills and experience with the right client and situation.”
Savannah, daughter of our Founder and Managing Director Deborah, said: “For example, we have one client that requires more training than others. So, we go back over everyone’s profile to compare them and the skills they have with what that home needs. That’s how we place them.
“We have a home that’s for the homeless and alcoholics, so if we had a carer who didn’t have experience of that and who was quite reserved, we wouldn’t place them there. But if we had someone with experience and a big personality, we’d allocate them there.”
Dannielle said: “I absolutely love working in care. Empathy and feeling the love is a massive part of it. I’m passionate about what we do because it makes such a big difference to people who really need support. It’s vital we do a good job and match the right individual with the right client.”
Savannah said: “Like Danneille, I’ve worked in care myself, so I know what’s involved.
“That’s why we work so well together in the Bookings Team. We get to talk to the staff and build relationships with them, so we know what the best placements are for them.”
How important is the team’s work for Care Connection Partners?
Dannielle said: “I’d say we’re definitely the backbone of the business.
“Business Development can bring in clients all day long, and we can have as many carers as we like, but without actually covering the shifts and maintaining those relationships, it doesn’t work.”
Savannah said: “We’re definitely fundamental to the business. It doesn’t work without us because we’re central to it all. But we all work together as one big team anyway because communication is absolutely key.
“We have a full staff meeting every Monday and put our heads together. We’ll see what’s coming in from the Business Development Team, so we can then start contacting staff to recruit to the positions that need filling.
“We’re in the middle, and we knit it all together.
How does the team epitomise #feelthelove?
Dannielle said: “I look at it from a staff point of view, towards our carers.
“It’s very, very easy to become stressed in a hectic environment and forget what matters. You could think, ‘I need this job filling, so I’ll contact this person’, but you need to speak to that person properly, and make sure they feel the love.
“We maintain that communication constantly, so we know what’s going on in their lives. We have more than 300 carers across Hull and West Yorkshire but we know who’s getting married, who’s pregnant – it’s all about that personal touch.”
Savannah said: “We know the dates of everyone’s birthdays, and we send them all a birthday message. That’s something that might seem quite small but it really makes a difference. It makes a difference to them, and they feel like part of our family.
“That’s how we want them to feel. We don’t want them to think of themselves as someone who just works for us because they’re more than that.”
